How are Funds Raised?
Funds are raised in many ways:
The Council of B.C. Yacht Clubs
asks yacht clubs members to donate $10.00 per
year and pass that amount on to the Society. Club members are provided with tax
receipts if requested. Some clubs contribute a fixed amount from their funds
each year. Other clubs solicit contributions from individual members.
Memorial bequeaths.
Corporate funds are solicited from the Marine Industries.
Private donations.
Boat shows.
Yacht Clubs may provide reciprocal moorage donations.
Some marinas will donate a per foot amount for the moorage for the year.
Percentage of sales from Pacific Yachting's Marine Parks Guide.
